Summer’s Food Tour and more!!!
Hi my foodies,
It’s been a few months since I became quite inactive on this website (big thanks to Helen for keeping it going). No, I didn’t forget you or Danang Cuisine, that’s for sure! In the past few months I have been busy doing some other projects and now it is the time to share with you all about them:
1. MY OWN FOOD TOUR!!!
Since starting Danangcuisine.com in 2010, I have received tons of requests for food tours in Da Nang. I’ve always wanted to find a suitable time to make this idea a reality. And last month, I officially did! Continue to read till the end of this post and you will understand why I chose to do it now.
So, if you or anyone you know are coming to Danang and interested in exploring Danang’s marvelous dishes with me, please contact me at funtasticdanang [at] gmail.com.
2. STARTING A COOKING CLASS WITH MY MOM !!!
Yes that’s right. Sneak into my mom’s kitchen and learn to cook some delicious Danang local dishes with my mom (also Helen’s mom) and I. We’ve had 2 classes so far and got great feedbacks. Everyone was very happy with all the Vietnamese cooking techniques they learnt and really enjoyed the result. I still need to work a little bit on finalizing the class information and flyer. But if you’re interested, we’re always ready! Again, you can contact me at funtasticdanang [at] gmail.com
3. OPENING MY OWN HOSTEL!!!
Yes, you read it right. I just opened my own hostel in Danang: Funtastic Danang Hostel (awesome name, I know). Check it out at www.funtasticdanang.com
Being a traveler myself, I just love discovering new hostels everywhere I go and hang out with the awesome people there. And in these times when I cannot travel freely like before, I thought about opening one, to meet great people and listen to all the stories they have to share from their travelling experience. So far it has been a great journey and I’ve met so many cool people there. We had a guest traveling from Beijing to Danang by bicycle or a 70 year old badass Japanese lady who was traveling around Vietnam by motorbike. And we all have one thing in common: big love for Danang’s food. That is partly why I decided now would be a good time to open the food tour and cooking class and incorporate them as a part of the hostel’s services.
So, my “trial and error” period is over, drop by Funtastic Danang Hostel @115 Hai Phong, Danang to have a chat with me if you feel like 😀 It would be fun! Of course when things settle down a bit and I have more free time on hand, more food reviews and videos are coming your way, here on Danang Cuisine.
With lots of love,
