Banh Cay - Spicy Cassava Fritter Recipe

A perfect finger food to bring to parties or just to snack on during cold or rainy days.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients (except the oil) together and mix well. You can also add other ingredients like corn, steamed mung bean or other spices like lemongrass, curry powder etc.
  • Heat the vegetable oil to 180°C/360°F. Pinch a teaspoon amount of the paste and roll between your palms to shape it into oval shape. Deep fry until golden brown.
  • Remove and place the fritter on a rack or paper towel to drain off the excess oil.
